Please read the following Terms of Use carefully. These terms govern your access to and use of the official website and social media pages (collectively, the “Chamber Web Pages”) of the Murray Chamber of Commerce, a Utah nonprofit organization (hereinafter referred to as the “Chamber”). The Chamber Web Pages serve as a primary source of information regarding the Chamber, including but not limited to its operations, programs, governance, membership, and business opportunities.

Please read the following Terms of Use carefully. By accessing or using the websites and social media pages of the Murray Chamber of Commerce (collectively, the “Chamber Web Pages”), you agree to be bound by these Terms. The official website of the Murray Chamber of Commerce is provided to facilitate business with the Chamber and to support the Chamber’s mission as directed by its Board of Directors and Executive Leadership. The Chamber Web Pages are intended to offer valuable information to members, businesses, residents, and the public. The Chamber’s official website is not intended to serve as a public forum for discourse; however, discussion and engagement may occur through the Chamber’s social media channels, where users may post content in accordance with these Terms of Use and the governing policies of each social media platform.

By using the Chamber Web Pages, including associated social media pages, you agree to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. You may not alter, add, or upload any content to the Chamber Web Pages without prior written authorization from an authorized representative of the Chamber.

All claims, disputes, or legal actions arising from the use of the Chamber Web Pages shall be governed by the laws of the State of Utah. Any legal proceedings related to the use of the Chamber Web Pages shall be filed exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Copyright Notice

All editorial and creative content on the Chamber Web Pages is protected under United States and international copyright laws. The Murray Chamber of Commerce reserves all rights to the content presented on its website and social media pages.

No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, or otherwise used without obtaining prior written permission from the Chamber. To request permission for use, please contact the Chamber’s Webmaster. The Chamber reserves the right to deny any such request at its sole discretion and for any reason.

Certain elements of the underlying computer code used to develop the Chamber website may have been created by third-party vendors; however, all such code, along with any Chamber-generated content on the website and social media pages, is owned by or licensed to the Murray Chamber of Commerce. No such materials may be used, reproduced, or redistributed without express written authorization from an authorized representative of the Chamber.

User-Generated Content and Comment Policy

The Murray Chamber of Commerce is under no obligation to monitor, review, or remove comments or other content posted by you or others on the Chamber Web Pages. Any content posted to the Chamber’s website or social media platforms, where public commenting is permitted, is visible to others and should not be considered private. The Chamber reserves the right to remove comments or other content from the Chamber Web Pages at any time, without notice, for violations of these Terms of Use or the policies of the applicable social media platform provider, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

In accordance with Utah law, posts and comments made on the Chamber’s social media platforms may be considered public records and may be subject to disclosure upon request.

The Murray Chamber of Commerce does not necessarily endorse, support, sanction, verify, or agree with any comments, opinions, or statements posted on the Chamber Web Pages by individuals other than authorized Chamber officials or personnel. Any content submitted by third parties, including advice, opinions, and statements, reflects the views and responsibilities of the individual posting the material and does not represent the views or policies of the Chamber or its service providers.

By posting content on the Chamber Web Pages, you acknowledge and agree that the Chamber and its third-party service providers are not responsible for and shall bear no liability with respect to user-generated content, including but not limited to content that may be defamatory, offensive, unlawful, or otherwise objectionable—even if such content violates these Terms of Use. The Chamber reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without obligation, to review, edit, move, or delete any content posted by third parties to the Chamber Web Pages at any time, without prior notice.

Prohibited Content

Users are strictly prohibited from posting any of the following on the Chamber’s website or official social media platforms:

  • Time-sensitive messages or requests for emergency services or other Chamber-related services;

  • Comments intended as official public input for hearings or proceedings that should be directed to the appropriate Chamber department or agency;

  • Extremely uncivil, retaliatory, profane, abusive, or personally attacking language;

  • Content that is scatological, sexually explicit, or includes nudity or violations of privacy or other legal rights;

  • Misrepresentations, including false identities, avatars, names, or content that promotes, incites, or perpetuates hatred, illegal acts, or discrimination based on race, creed, color, religion, national origin, gender, age, marital status, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status;

  • Sexually suggestive or explicit material in violation of community standards or applicable laws

  • Personally identifiable information (other than a user’s name), including addresses, phone numbers, Social Security numbers, or any other protected or sensitive information;

  • Campaign content endorsing or attacking political candidates;

  • Comments unrelated to the specific topic or context of the Chamber’s page;

  • Content encouraging illegal conduct or violating federal, state, or local law;

  • Comments that are libelous, harassing, threatening, or defamatory in nature;

  • Unauthorized advertisements or commercial solicitations, unless expressly permitted by the Chamber;

  • Copyrighted material that is owned by a third party without proper authorization.

Violations of these terms may result in the removal or modification of content without notice. Users who repeatedly violate these policies may be blocked or reported to the applicable social media platform operator.

Please be advised that participation in any forum hosted by the Murray Chamber of Commerce is at your own risk. While the Chamber makes reasonable efforts to ensure compliance with these terms, it cannot guarantee that all users will comply or that harm will not occur as a result of third-party content.

Security and Monitoring

The Murray Chamber of Commerce monitors network traffic on its Web Pages to detect and prevent unauthorized attempts to upload, alter, or otherwise compromise information or cause damage to the site. By using the Chamber Web Pages, you expressly consent to such monitoring.
